Fan theories 13

The Culture existed in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Warp entities are what remains of a disastrous-and quite literal-"war in heaven". Some time after the setting of the "Culture" novels, this war occurs in the realm of the Sublimed. It affects the ability to travel in hyperspace and creates what is later simply known as "The Warp". The Eldar are what remains of the Culture.

CONSERVATIVES

AND "Brexit" Party/Leave VOTERS.. OK.... are extremely gullible and scared .  Very scared.      OF.  CHANGE!  Unlike actual Conservative-leaning politicians who love neo-liberalism  and  CREATING  CHAOS!!!! Using Pokemon as a very simple example it can be shown just how scared of change conservatives are. Chansey is the nurse in the Pokemon center. She heals sick/injured Pokemon in a kind of hospital for Pokemon. But wait! Wigglytuff is the Pokemon nurse who assists Joy. How can this be? It's like they are trying to get rid of Chancey! It's GENOCIDE (is what a conservative would say)! Because Wigglytuff are used in the Alola Region as opposed to other regions in the games and anime where Chansey appear to be used. It's not genocide, they just use a different Pokémon.

Psytrump

Is It Just Me.... ... ...or does Donald "tiny hands" Trump sound like Peter Griffin when he's happy                                                                          and like a Psyduck when he's angry? Is this because This:     is really two Clefairy and a Psyduck?

Detective Pikachu

I've got Steve Rose's "take" in today's Guardian in front of me. I feel I really have to point out that plenty of adults like toys, role playing games and anime. Pokemon basically revived Nintendo and handheld gaming, is an incredibly popular RPG and the films and anime based on it have consistent levels of quality and, importantly, actually fit in with the gaming franchise. # DetectivePikachu may end up being terrible. It is itself based on the game of the same title but to compare it to the risible 90's Super Mario and the live-action Transformer's franchise is beyond unfair. They exist in seperate dimenstions. Rose's article shows the ignorance about "geek" culture among some people.

What would you do?

What would you do if you knew you had a hundred years to live? Perhaps you wouldn't care. What if you knew you had a hundred years to act before you knew society would collapse? Perhaps you are obsessed with the threat from Russia, overpopulation or migration? Perhaps you know about climate change but don't care. But imagine how our government would act if humanity's biggest threat wasn't itself but another species? All governments, yours and mine, would be on a perpetual war footing. So why don't we all REBEL? Because twenty years ago we collectively had a hundred years to live. Twenty years ago it would have been reasonable for: 1. The Pope and the Catholic Church to embrace contraception 2. Ditto the American Right 3. The UK government to ban people from driving a petrol-driven car on a Sunday 4. The UK government to give free bus travel to everyone under 25 and the unemployed 5. Governments around the world to replace coal powered methods of ge
