Fan Theories 16

More Star Wars! I have fan theories about the origins of Leader Snoke and Rey. Assuming  Outbound Flight (novel)  “happened” then I would imagine that Snoke is one of the force-sensitive children (or a child of two of the Jedi) on the expedition to the Unknown Regions. If you have read Timothy Zahn’s “Outbound Flight” Snoke’s resentment towards the Jedi, Republic, Sith and Empire make sense. Rey. Rey’s parents were freaked out by her early display of force-related abilities. With no established Jedi Temple to send her to they simply abandoned her, perhaps out of fear of superstitious locals. Also, consider the possibility that Prime Minister Alexander Piffle Boris Johnson is the bastard offspring of Sheev Palpatine and Jar-Jar Binks!

Fan fiction five (actually six)

Rebooting Babylon 5  A Work In Progress with Fan Theories: Consider this a first draft/beta version dear reader  A Summary John Sinclair is the first commander of Babylon 5. He disappears at the end of his first year of command. Captain Jeffery Sheridan is sent to assume command of B5 and to investigate the disappearance of his predecessor. Unfortunately the appearance of the human the MInbari know as "Star KIller" provokes a drastic series of events which lead to a second Minbari war and the eventual destruction of Babylon 5. An Introduction   Babylon 5 is a science-fiction television series and several short-lived spin-offs and television movies. It is an example of a space-opera and military science fiction. It concerns the crew, diplomats and assorted humans, aliens, chancers and riff-raff living aboard a diplomatic space station in the middle of the 23rd century.   When the series starts, humanity has narrowly avo...

Pokémon Fan Theories: Sooooooo, big essay or just notes and hopes that people can understand my inane ramblings? Well, I'll try and do both. I think the reason is that a brief comparison requires too many outside references and a large article just seems like rambling on to make one look more intelligent than one actually is.  So, really a comment on society.  Which is what all good (science) fiction really is.  And you can really learn something from it. Honestly. Pokémon bears comparisons with the work of Arthur C. Clarke and Joe Haldeman, particularly the novels "Childhood's End" and "Forever Free". Forever Free  is a direct sequel to Haldeman's war novel  The Forever War . At the end of   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Forever_War   a group entity called "Man" is in charge of Earth.  Forever Free   introduces beings who could, conceivably, actually be Pokémon: a hitherto hidden race ...

Fan Theories 14

A History of the Pokémon W orld/"Earth" (by way of "Watchmen", the "Culture" novels, "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Warhammer 40,000") c.12,000,000,000 years BCE Sublimation of first civilisations and Minds c.350,000,000-300,000,000 years BCE  Mew culture/civilisation/society develops on Earth and, later, on Venus also They possibly colonise Mars Mew eventually terraform/"Mewform" a variety of planets in other solar systems  The "starter" Pokémon evolve at some point It is possible they were bio-engineered by Mew (singular or plural) to re-terraform the Earth in the case of another die-off  c.4-3,000,000 years BCE Monoliths visit Earth They take various proto-Hominid tribes to other planets around the galaxy to observe their evolution in different environments-I'm tempted to use this as an example/explanation for the prevalence of human/humanoid societies in the Culture galaxy. This doesn't reall...
Fan theories and Conclusions based on Star Trek: Discovery. 1. Harry Mudd is Q "Mon Capitan!". Because he has access to 4D aliens, presumably he may himself be one! 2. The spore drive was used in the Original Series, perhaps unbeknownst to the crew, to explore Alternative Earths. 3. Trill was once part of the Klingon Empire. Update 28.3.2019 4. The Vulcans never genetically modified the Terrans after World War Three. Hence their aversion to bright lights ("space vampires"). 5. Applauding a new captain or bowing to the emperor is a form of "continuing election" in the Terran Empire. They are a "lawless democracy". 6. However, individual (nation and planetary) states do still exist*, so long as they do not denounce the empire. A crewman who murders their captain may still be prosecuted under their laws. 7. The Terran's version of "legal murder" was adopted from the Mirror Klingon Empire. *i.e. Vulcan, Andor, Betazed...

Fan Theories Five

Wolf 359 Despite having thousands of starships, losing "only " thirty-nine at the Battle of Wolf 359 seems to have been a big loss to Starfleet. I can only think of two reasons why this is the case. The first Starfleet is referring to a "medieval" thirty-nine ships, where "one ship" refers to twenty (as in one knight refers to twenty mounted warriors). In this case Starfleet would have lost 780 ships, out of a possible total of 3400 to 7000. The second Starfleet only has around forty to fifty state-of-the-art  frontline starships. Therefore, losing thirty-nine to the Borg is a great loss of lives, materiel and morale. The whole fleet is as large as estimated but mostly consists of much older, relatively outdated vessels. The fleet as a whole consists of: Science vessels Courier ships Freighters Cargo vessels Survey ships and  Transports

Rebooting Firefly

Rebooting "Firefly"/ What is Inara running away from?   In this version, Inara is the owner-captain of Serenity. I feel this makes more sense than a poor war-veteran like Mal being the owner. Although Serenity is a second-hand spaceship it isn't really as believable for Mal and Zoe to have been able to afford. If Inara really is the inspiration behind the Mona Lisa, it makes sense that she would want to hide this so a nomadic existence makes a lot of sense. As a Companion she can always find work on any colony. The reason she travels with, say Mal, Zoe, Simon and Wash is she could only emigrate from the colony she was previously based at by pretending to be married to Mal. Zoe is "married" to Simon and Wash is their pilot-mechanic. The other characters are introduced later, the first being Jane and the second being River, who had been in stasis since Simon joined the crew. Are some Reavers only pretending to be Reavers? As they appear to...

Fan Theories

Family Guy is really set in Hell! Specifically one of the Hells in the  Culture  novel "Surface Detail". The television programme "American Dad!" is also set in one of these Hells, but different to the one Family Guy is set in. Think about it. The characters never age and most would end up institutionalised if they lived in a normal society. It also, perhaps, makes sense that the creators of these Hells would consider early twentieth century North America, Earth, a suitable place to set these Hells. In Surface Detail the Hells are terrible places where the downloaded  personalities of the dead are maintained. It's denizens are routinely raped by demons (one of whom may be Glen Quagmire ) or forced into arbitrary wars. All rapes result in pregnancy (Hell is a pretty horrible place of course), which is reminiscent of certain Family Guy episodes where unexpected or bizarre pregnancies occur.

Vulcan sex

Vulcan Sex: A Fan-Fic-Theory First Contact is set eleven-ish years after a supposed third world war. The reasons for World War Three are not given and there is no real evidence to suggest that the conflict was actually fought with nuclear weapons. Certainly, if it was it seems incredibly doubtful that there would still be any one left alive by the time of Zeframe Cochrane's first warp flight. All we can go on is Riker's statistic of 600 million casualties and Data's estimate of the date by the proportion of radioactive particles in the atmosphere. Perhaps the war sterilised most of the population but contact with aliens was soon enough so that said aliens (the Vulcans) could provide inoculations against the long-term effects of radiation? I would even go further and suggest that the Vulcans indulged in large-scale genetic engineering of the human population. The result being that humans could also breed with members of other humanoid species.  It...

Star Wars fan theories

Fan theories and alternative scenarios. 1. Dooku is the good guy. An alternative scenario could have the same events shown in the preludes but with Dooku starting a rebellion to overthrow Darth Sidious. Dooku hopes to give the Jedi the opportunity to assume governorship of the Republic. It is for this reason that he kidnaps Palpatine. The clone army was simply ordered in secret by Palpatine, who later lets slip to Anakin that there may be "unexpected aid" on a distant planet unknown to the Jedi i.e., said clone army. 2. Padme seduces Anakin so the Jedi Order will survive through their children. He basically marries her for religious/traditional reasons. 3. Similarly, it was planned that, if Kenobi and Qui-Gonn were stranded on Tatooine, they would have Jedi children with Padme and Shmi. This is for the same reasons as 2, or to produce an alternative (or "spare") Jedi Order in case the original were ever to be corrupted or eliminated. 4. Padme is be...
