Fan Theories

Family Guy is really set in Hell!

Specifically one of the Hells in the Culture novel "Surface Detail". The television programme "American Dad!" is also set in one of these Hells, but different to the one Family Guy is set in.

Think about it.
The characters never age and most would end up institutionalised if they lived in a normal society. It also, perhaps, makes sense that the creators of these Hells would consider early twentieth century North America, Earth, a suitable place to set these Hells.

In Surface Detail the Hells are terrible places where the downloaded personalities of the dead are maintained. It's denizens are routinely raped by demons (one of whom may be Glen Quagmire) or forced into arbitrary wars. All rapes result in pregnancy (Hell is a pretty horrible place of course), which is reminiscent of certain Family Guy episodes where unexpected or bizarre pregnancies occur.

What would you do?

What would you do if you knew you had a hundred years to live? Perhaps you wouldn't care. What if you knew you had a hundred years to act before you knew society would collapse? Perhaps you are obsessed with the threat from Russia, overpopulation or migration? Perhaps you know about climate change but don't care. But imagine how our government would act if humanity's biggest threat wasn't itself but another species? All governments, yours and mine, would be on a perpetual war footing. So why don't we all REBEL? Because twenty years ago we collectively had a hundred years to live. Twenty years ago it would have been reasonable for: 1. The Pope and the Catholic Church to embrace contraception 2. Ditto the American Right 3. The UK government to ban people from driving a petrol-driven car on a Sunday 4. The UK government to give free bus travel to everyone under 25 and the unemployed 5. Governments around the world to replace coal powered methods of ge

UFO

Time to debunk the extra-terrestrial hypothesis? Yes. Let's use our imaginations and consider non-ET explanations for this phenomenon. 1. UFOs are an aerial plasma phenomenon similar to ball lightning. This explains why they appear to follow aircraft and apparently interfere with electronic devices. 2. UFO phenomena are a result of individuals witnessing top-secret military technology. By deliberately associating the phenomenon with aliens, the government can discredit any witnesses and keep any technology it wishes out of the public domain. They could even have access to free energy but believe this would disrupt the economy if it were ever revealed. By promoting the Extra-Terrestrial Hypothesis, the government and the corporations that support it stay in power at everyone else's expense. Presumably this is a CIA-style psychological operations programme. 3. UFOs are intelligent entities in of themselves. The abduction phenomena could be a kind of vision by the abducte
