Fan theories ten

The Gzilt Prophet Briper Drodj and (Tursensa) Ngaroe (Hgan) "oldest person in the Culture" QiRia (dam Yutton)* are actually the same person.

Because....why the fuck not?

The Werpesh actually evolved on Earth.

Because....why the fuck not?

This means that (probably) all the humanoid species in the Culture novels are descended from those Werpesh who opted out of Subliming. Any technology left behind was quickly appropriated by other civilisations.

Most members of the-150 member-United Federation of Planets are planets colonised by the thirty or so actual members, these being the home-worlds of the various Federation species. This-kind of-explains why everyone aboard Federation star-ships looks human.

Obvious fan theory: R2-D2 is a Culture (Special Circumstances) agent.

Second obvious fan theory: Homer Simpson is an Idiran.

*of the Buhdren Federalty, one of the civilisations which founded the Culture "ten thousand years ago" (when the Gzilt nearly joined the Culture).

Baby Trump

A stoned baby visits London. What if Trump meets the Queen and the first thing he says is "If you weren't so old I'd rape you". What if he asks her why she killed Diana Spencer? If we ignore Donald Trump does anyone really think that he'd just GO AWAY? And, even if that were possible, how does one go about this without using terrorist tactics to hijack the mass media?

Q both created and manipulated the Borg. They/He did this in order to prevent the version of the Federation in the Mirror Mirror  universe from coming to power. Without the Borg , the events of Star Trek:First Contact  would never have happened and the United Federation of Planets would become the Terran Empire. The Borg also made an alliance between long-time Federation adversaries the Romulan Star Empire. This allowed the Borg to invade Federation space by passing through Romulan space (the first time round) and is the reason for the Enterprise-E being ordered to the Romulan border  in  Star Trek:First Contact . Elder Romulan politicians and officers who opposed the alliance were ousted (and probably assimilated) in a coup, allowing ambitious officers like Sela to come to the fore. It makes a weird kind of sense for the Romulans to ally with the Borg, if only to keep the Federation on its toes. This means t...

Hi there, this is Elench-San and I have more Dragon Ball theories! There is a lot about the franchise that is either contradictory or shouldn't be taken too seriously. For example the anime often shows a realistic globe of the Earth or a view from space with identifiable continents.  But a map of the "Dragon World" is slightly askew.  This perhaps lends to two completely bonkers theories: Dragon World is basically Arda  (as in Middle Earth, Hobbits and shit) or Planetos (as in Wars of the Roses, continent-sized empires, dragons!) OK maybe not, but one can actually connect Toriyama's world with Tolkien's. Both have dragons, gods, werewolves and vampires as well as collectible jewels!  The map often given is reminiscent of that of "Planetos".  The reason a fantasy world maybe set in the distant past of Earth is to do with those titular dragon balls.  This is also why the world is also so apparently depopulated.  ...
